💬 Q: How often should I brush my Yorkie’s hair?
A: Daily brushing is ideal, especially for Yorkies with longer coats. It keeps tangles and mats away and helps distribute natural oils for a shiny, healthy coat. I like to use a soft pin brush in the mornings—Maci and Gabby actually love it now because they know a treat follows!
💬 Q: What do you feed your Yorkies?
A: Great question! I use PawTree nutrition for my girls, tailored to their needs. Their food is clean, breed-appropriate, and they absolutely love it. I also add in calming chews and omega supplements to support their coat, mood, and digestion. Every pup is different, so it’s always good to talk with your vet too!
💬 Q: How do you keep them calm during grooming?
A: Consistency and calm energy are key! I use soothing voice tones, keep grooming sessions short and sweet, and sometimes play soft music. If they’re extra wiggly, I break it into mini sessions and use a lick mat with a bit of dog-safe peanut butter for distraction.
💬 Q: Do Yorkies get along with other pets?
A: Yes—with the right introductions and supervision. Yorkies are spirited and social, but also have a bold streak! Slow introductions, neutral ground meetups, and giving your Yorkie a safe retreat space at home really helps. Gabby adores her hedgehog buddy through the fence—but she prefers to be the boss 😆
