At Setareh Yorkies, the love doesn’t stop at our sweet Yorkies—our home is full of furry (and spiky!) friends, each with their own charm and quirks. While Gabby and Maci are certainly the heart of our Yorkie story, they share their world with a diverse and delightful crew that makes life feel like a pet-filled sitcom (the best kind, of course!).

Let’s take a little peek behind the scenes and introduce the full Setareh family…

🐩 Meet the Poodle: The Gentle Giant

While our Yorkies may be tiny and sassy, our standard poodle balances the energy beautifully with grace, loyalty, and the most elegant floof you’ve ever seen.

She’s the calm center of the storm, a sweetheart with a protective spirit, and the best big sister our littles could ask for. She’s been a steady presence during puppy chaos, hedgehog introductions, and even toddler zoomies. She’s as much a part of the Yorkie crew as anyone else—and she wears her title with pride.

🐱 The Cats: Rulers of the Household (Obviously)

Yes, we’re those people—the ones with not one, not two, but four cats… and somehow they each run the house in their own way.

From the dignified observer perched on the windowsill to the mischievous sock thief who thinks every dog bed is actually his bed, the cats bring balance (and occasional dramatic flair) to our world.

They’re curious, cuddly (on their terms), and shockingly tolerant of the Yorkie zoomies that often come tearing through the living room.

🦔 Our Hedgehogs: The Quiet Ones with Spiky Charm

Then there’s our most unique pair—our hedgehogs, Peanut and Aurora.

These two may be small and a little shy, but they’ve stolen our hearts. Watching them snuggle into their snuggle sacks or curiously explore our laps during quiet time is honestly the sweetest thing. Hedgehogs have their own rhythm, and caring for them has taught us a lot about patience, gentleness, and the beauty of slow connection.

They’ve even earned the respect of the Yorkies… well, most of the time. 😂

👧 Charlotte: Our Youngest Pack Member

Of course, no “crew” post would be complete without mentioning our daughter Charlotte. She’s growing up surrounded by animals, learning responsibility, empathy, and how to properly share a blanket with five different species.

She loves every single one of our pets fiercely—and we love watching her bond with them in her own little ways.

Our home is not quiet. It’s not spotless. But it is full of life. And at the center of it is connection.

The way our pets interact, how they coexist, and the routines they’ve helped us build—it all speaks to the love and intention we pour into everything we do at Setareh Yorkies.

Whether it’s a Yorkie curled on a cat’s back, the poodle watching over a hedgie, or Charlotte learning how to feed each one with care—it’s all part of the beautiful, chaotic, joy-filled rhythm of our home.
